Teenager Self Esteem - Anger Management

A troubled teenager often strikes out in many ways and anger is one of those ways. Some other ways are turning to alcohol or substance abuse.

For a teenager who suffers low self esteem also has feelings of low self worth. That is they look upon themselves less than favorably and often belittle themselves.

As a parent you will find that anger management plans are plentiful and there are some very real strategies in dealing with teenager anger management issues. The first strategy is to provide the teenager with a safe and nurtoring environment. Further discussions as to why the teenager feels this way may enlighten you to the course of action you will need to take in developing a teenager anger management plan.

For the teenager to deal with anger management that is ultimately destroying their feelings of low self worth and poor self esteem you need an activity. Write down your feelings and the reasons why you are so angry.

Identify exactly what it is that upsets you. Then take each reason why you get angry and address it.

This is an individual process, that is only the teenager knows how to remedy the situation. Look at the problem and find an answer. It might be a simple matter of talking to someone or working through each problem for the correct course or path to take.

An example of this is that if someone is upsetting you at school, then keep away from them or better still talk with them to resolve the issue.

It is by working through each problem that is identified that the teenager can address their problems and look at life in a different way where they will have contentment in life and high self esteem.
